Open Day Article

IF YOU want to feel like home. If you want to feel wanted for yourself and what you are. If you want to develop your potential. If you want to make the most of your time as a student. If you want academic excellence and a proper place to grow as an intellectual, but in the same time a tremendous and vibrant medium to make memories that will last all your life, that certainly means that you want to come in Newcastle upon Tyne and join Northumbria University.

Making a right choice is hard, especially when you are having a hard time finding the right arguments to feel like not regretting a single thing. This is why I do recommend you to attend any event regarding your potential choices such as open days or public lectures.

Working for Northumbria University and being in the middle of the event I must confess that it would have been much easier for me to choose if I would have had the chance to attend one of the open days. The amount of information offered by the student reps and tutors is impressive, and the arguments are strong enough to convince you. By arguments I certainly mean facilities and services, as well as further career opportunities and if you are a math person, statistics are nothing but another strong argument in favour of Northumbria Uni.

The Open Day is designed to be as flexible as possible in order to allow you to choose which sessions you would like to attend so you do not need to be in a hurry.

If you are not decided over the course yet, there is a vast variety of courses, each and every one developing over high academic standards.
The student reps are always there to help so do not hesitate to ask them about their specific course or any other general enquiries. Trust me, they have the answers!

The tutors are there for you also! Do not be ashamed to pop into a discussion with one of them, while having a cup of tea/coffee they will fulfil your curiosity with everything regarding entry requirements , modules information, course lengths and so on.

After getting informed, take your time to visit University’s facilities such as The Library, Sports Central, Coach Lane Campus or Students Union as well as taking the accommodation tours to see which one would fit your needs as a prospective student.

At the end of the day, take advantage of being in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne and take a brief tour of it. For me it was just another reason to choose Northumbria University.
